Brave Ukraine Exhibition
Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has prompted a worldwide outpouring of humanitarian, moral and creative support. Focussing here mainly on the creative responses from young and old, Ukrainians and others, we give you a glimpse of the demos, art and music. We bear witness to the courage of the Ukrainian people as well as the power and energy of people all over the world who hate war and destruction (pretty much everyone!).
Of course Ukraine is not unique in its suffering. Invasions happen around the world, as do internal country conflicts and violence on our streets and in our homes. Let’s think about Ukraine as the latest example of man’s (or to be more precise) ‘men’s’ inhumanity to other men, to women and to children. As we shed tears of grief and rage, we also marvel at the courage of the Ukrainian people and all those who are standing with them. We mourn all who have been injured and who have perished.
‘War is a curse and an abomination and is never the answer to anything except the question: ‘How can we create hell on earth?’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (on 17 April 2022) said everyone is 'standing with' the Ukraine team at the Invictus Games during a speech at the opening ceremony in the Netherlands.
A Ukrainian couple is collecting and sharing artwork made by children during the war. The pictures of war and violence are a reflection of what the children see in their home country. Roxana Saberi shares the stories of these young artists.
