Schools all over the UK are teaching children about peace building – with all kinds of exciting projects and holistic approaches. Our aim is that all schools become peaceful learning environments. That’s why we support schools and the peace-promoting organisations that work with them. The Peaceful Schools website contains more information about the initiative, and is packed full of useful (and free!) downloadable resources.

Woodheys Beacon Peaceful Primary School. This was the very first Peaceful Beacon school, which went on to inspire the creation of the Peaceful Schools Movement.
Teach Peace – a film made in collaboration with Stefan Cel Mare School in Romania. Students give their views on promoting peace within the classroom, and promoting values, attitudes and behaviours which encourage non-violent resolution of conflict, and respect for human rights.
