World Peace Museum - it's downloadable!
Franz Jedlicka is one of our Peace Heroes – he is a Peace researcher (at the University of Vienna, Austria in Europe), author and speaker focusing on the psycho-social root causes of wars. He has created a downloadable World Peace Museum – 48 display panels (PDF format). The German version of his mobile Peace Museum (“World Peace Museum” – www.peacemuseum.net ) is currently being shown in Reichenau an der Rax, a small village close to the mountains south of Vienna (Austria). The English version can be printed out by anyone (a PDF with 48 tables), especially by teachers, trainers, peacebuilders, who have a location where to hang the pages (it has a Creative Commons BY-ND license – so you do not need to ask me beforehand).
Franz has also developed the “Culture of Violence Index”, the “Legislation-Peace-Nexus” and the “Peace Mainstreaming” strategy, a comprehensive peacebuilding strategy which includes psychological topics like “caring masculinities” and violence in the media. His work also includes topics like early childhood development, feminism, political psychology (psychohistory), domestic violence (IPV), peace education (World Peace Museum). This work has inevitably led to activism for child protection ( #endcorporalpunishment = SDG 16.2), children’s rights and gender equality ( #heforshe , SDG 5). Host of the SDG 16 podcast and the youtube channel @peacestudies.
